“True” Science

Science is an interconnected series of concepts and conceptual schemes that have developed as a result of experimentation and observation, and are fruitul of further experimentation and observations.
-Science and Common Sense - By: Dr. James B. Conant (former president of Harvard)

Scientific proof is based on showing that something is a fact by repeating the event in the presence of the person questioning the fact.
-More than a Carpenter - Josh McDowell

The scientific method, however it is defined, is related to measurement of phenomena and experimentation or repeated observation.

God is Good Enough

My [the Lord’s] grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.”
-2 Corinthians 12:9a NASB

How often do we forget that God will give us the strength we need? How often do we brush aside the greatest power in the universe? Too often, that’s for sure. It’s rather simple after all. God is on our side - all we have to do is live for Him.

“Yeah right?”

True, that’s what I once thought. How can I, a mere human being, live for God? How can I give my all to Him? I can’t see Him, I can’t feel Him, I can’t talk to Him - so how can I put all of my trust into something I can’t see? That my friends is called: faith. What exactly is faith though?

Faith:
1: confidence or trust in a person or thing

So, what I’m saying is, all we have to do is place our confidence and trust in the Lord, live for Him, and follow His commandments. If we do so, God will give us the strength we need.

Again, you’re thinking, “Yeah right.”

I thought that same thing as well. How, by any means, can we place that much trust in something/one that we cannot see? That is a tough one - and the answer isn’t an easy one.

We need to know there is a God, that He is the God of the Bible, He loves us, and that He sent His son to die on the Cross for us. Then live for God. If you do so, and truly believe it, and truly live it, faith (true conviction of the heart) will follow. Then the Spirit of the Lord will dwell in you and give you the strength you need for when the rain comes - for rain will come.

“And He [the Lord] has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.” Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me. Therefore I am well content with weaknesses, with insults, with distresses, with persecutions, with difficulties, for Christ’s sake; for when I a weak, then I am strong.”
-2 Corinthians 12:9-10 NASB

God’s the only one we need. If we place our trust in Him, he will give us the strength so that “when we are weak, then we are strong” - through Him.

Feeding Our Hungry Souls - The Rebelution

The Rebelution’s latest post: Feeding Our Hungry Souls.

Are you ever hungry? No - not food. Is your soul ever hungry for the Word?
Our soul needs “food” just like our stomach does. Why don’t we feed it?
