The Dawkins Delusion

I think this video just about sums it up - Richard Dawkins does not exist.

Iraqi Determination and Education

“I’m going to bomb, bomb, bomb the school with everybody in it.”
-Five Year Old Omar Hussein at his kindergarten graduation in Baghdad
[thx World Mag]

Ok, is it just me, or is that incredible?
Incredible in two ways:
1: Incredible that a five year old wants to blow others, and himself, up?
2: That Muslim parents can give a five year old the drive to do such a thing and us American’s can’t get our kids to do their homework?

Now, let me put aside the shocking desire of the five year old, let’s take a look at his determination.

Here we have a kid, who is five years old and graduating from kindergarten, and he wants to kill himself in an explosive manner - just so he can kill infidels. If a five year old can obtain that level of determination, why can’t us Christians have that same drive, but to follow our Lord?

Think about it.

The Face of Planned Parenthood

Lila Rose, 18, is a sophomore at UCLA and the founder of Live Action, a pro-life organization on campus. In March, she visited a Planned Parenthood clinic in Los Angeles armed with a hidden camera, posing as a 15-year-old who had been impregnated by her 23-year-old boyfriend.

Though California law requires abortion providers to report all cases of statutory rape to the police, a staff member at Planned Parenthood instructed Lila to lie about her age so she could protect her boyfriend and go through with an abortion.

Planned Parenthood: If you’re 15, we have to report it. If you’re not, if you’re older than that, then we don’t need to… So we still have to call the police, and they still have to talk to you, but we aren’t going to force you do anything, basically.

15-year-old: Okay, but if I just say I’m not 15, then it’s different? So I could just say…

Planned Parenthood: You could say 16.

15-year-old: I could say 16?

Planned Parenthood: Yes.

15-year-old: Okay, yeah. So I would just write 16?

Planned Parenthood: Well, just figure out a birth date that works. And I don’t know anything.

A ‘True Fundamentalist’ Update

Back on March 30th, I commented on Honjii’s blog saying:

So if I can’t use God to determine or prove anything (because of ‘Circular Reasoning’), then you can’t use reason.
Meaning, if I believe something because God says so, then what’s wrong with that? You believe something because ‘reason’ tells you so, what’s the difference? We both believe that a ‘higher power” (God and Reason) determines what we know. Let’s both use that.

On April 1st, Simen of import Mind.Reason made a post of his own mocking calling me a “true fundamentalist.”

I then proceeded to partake in a discussion with Simen (aided by Allison, a regular SW Reader) on my comment.

Simen evaded our questioning and refuesed to answer several of our questions - including the original question, “If Athiests can use reason to prove something, then why can’t Theists use God to prove something?”
I asked Simen that very question (with some word variation) seven times out of eight comments - and he still never answered it. Even when I said:

And since you still haven’t answered my original question, I assume you don’t have a response to it but don’t want to acknowledge that I’m right.
So why can’t I use God to prove things when you can use reason to prove things?

he still didn’t answer the question, said I’m “dead wrong,” and still didn’t answer my question.

I can see where he’s coming from, but to flat out not answer a question just seems a bit extreme.

Pray for him.
